Discover La route des empires
La Route des Empires is an archaeological and historical discovery application focusing on the South of Morocco. From Agadir Oufella to Zagora, this app explores ancient cities along the northern edge of the Sahara, stretching from the Atlantic to Tafilalet, alongside the Atlas foothills. During the medieval period (10th-16th century), this transversal route was a hub for the political and economic interests of Moroccan dynasties.
This application offers users the opportunity to explore the locations of these ancient cities and view them in 3D. Developed through research by the Center Jacques-Berque in Rabat, in collaboration with the Heritage Department of the Ministry of Culture, La Route des Empires provides a unique glimpse into Morocco's rich historical and archaeological heritage.
